Good afternoon, my darling Rosine, I woke up very late because I stayed up very late. I was up late because I was watching on television the first game of the World Series and the baseball game went into extra innings and was very exciting. The World Series in professional baseball is similar to the Super Bowl in professional football with respect to importance. The difference is the Super Bowl is one game whereas the World Series is the best 4 out of 7. I hope the World Series goes all 7 games as more baseball to watch :) Cleveland, Ohio has their own professional baseball team like the NFL has the Browns. The baseball team used to be called the Cleveland Indians but people got upset about the term "Indians" and the name was changed to the Cleveland Guardians last year. The Indians were in existence since 1915 but the club name and its cartoon logo had been criticized for perpetuating Native American stereotypes so the name was changed. Unfortunately the team is not very good and the last night we won the championship was in 1948. I was not around then to see the game and the subsequent celebration :) Are you familiar with professional baseball, my love? I was very happy you sent me the NFL article because the article had very many interesting things in it I was not aware of. Tomorrow the Browns play a late game as they are on the west coast and the game starts 10:30pm your time :) very late for you :) maybe? :) I am pleased to hear that you have Halloween themed festivities you can partake in if you are so inclined to do so. I am sad to hear you have rainy weather. The weather here is marvelous with sunny skies and a pleasant breeze and I have been taking walks everyday walking 1 or 2 miles a day. Well, my dear, I will certainly be very excited waiting for your knock at my door, and I must tell you that you will be very pleased for the "treat" that you will be receiving from me. I sincerely hope you have no other plans for the rest of the evening because you will be very tired with no inclination to ever want to leave my apartment :) My calico kitty is the the "scaredy cat" and will hide under the bed all evening and my ginger cat will help me answer the door and give out candy to the visitors. Nothing bothers my ginger cat as he is very calm all the time. I might have to check his water and find out why :) Yes, my love, there are a lot of holidays coming soon and I hope everything is fine with you and your loved ones. I will be watching baseball and football all weekend long and might skip walking for a few days to catch up on my sports viewing.
