>The Browns have decided on the new starting quarterback<

The Browns are currently 6-3, but the playoffs are still in serious jeopardy due to Deshaun Watson's injury. According to information from Cleveland.com, the veteran manager will be replaced by rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson for the rest of the season (although don't be surprised if PJ Walker also gets a role in the end).

The 24-year-old DTR joined the team in the fifth round of the 2023 draft. He has already started one game this year, but it was a disaster: he threw for 121 yards on 52.8 percent accuracy and three interceptions (totaling five turnovers) with no TDs in the fourth round against the Ravens. It can only get better, but the Browns are understandably not in a good position.

The guard will play the Steelers, Broncos, Rams, Jaguars, Bears, Texans, Jets and Bengals the rest of the season.

BREAKING: Deshaun Watson's season is over!

The Browns announced on their social media platforms that Deshaun Watson will need surgery on his shoulder, so he will not play again this year.

Watson injured his shoulder (again) in the first quarter of the game against the Ravens, despite this, he played the entire game, and even completed all 14 of his passes in the second half. The doctors, on the other hand, judged that if his shoulder was hit one more time, it could be destroyed.

Watson has already missed games this year because of his shoulder, first he was replaced by rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson, then by veteran PJ Walker, the latter is expected to start now. All this also means that Watson has been able to play in only 11 games in the last three years (and therefore already received $90.8 million).

Despite their elite defense, the Browns will have a very difficult time making the playoffs. Indeed, among the 37 qualifying managers, PJ Walker is 37th according to PFF's assessment, 37th in above-expected accuracy and 36th in EPA/play index.

Meanwhile, this news increases the chances of the Steelers, Bengals, Texans and Bills for the playoffs.
