When winter blows its cold breath everywhere and throws a chill white blanket on the ground. The sun makes sparkling diamonds on the snow and trees with icy diadems are crowned. It's time to snuggle in for winter fun in cozy places, maybe by a fire. A good book and some cocoa feel just right in flannels, sweaters, winter's warm attire. Winter's gloom is comforting somehow as life retreats from its rushed and frantic pace. We're ready now to stay indoors awhile as we settle into winter's calm embrace. You and I with our cats, always together. Aaaah...Winter! Aaaah... Snow! An excuse to put away the sun-based toys, stop the endless yard work of multicolored flowers backed by green to just stare at...white. White, white, white, peaceful and serene, white enveloping all, whiteouts slowing everything down. Drawing us to leisurely activities, relaxing pastimes, to let our bodies catch up, rest and prepare for the excitement of Spring. Aaaah...Winter! Aaaah... Snow! How lovely and pleasant to look at the trees, gracefully dancing in the breeze. Whose shade in summer cools us down with its wide, protective leafy crown. Always thinking of you. Wishing you happiness, joy, and cheer. May all your days be warm and bright and your nights enhanced by holiday light. For this holiday too you’re on my mind and I hope you’re filled with holiday glow. Evergreen boughs that fill our homes with fragrant Christmas scents. Hearts are filled with loving glow.
