Princess Charlotte May Make a Public Appearance at the Queen’s Birthday Parade
Sources say William plans to turn the 90th birthday event into an official family outing.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are planning to bring Princess Charlotte and Prince George onto the famous Buckingham Palace balcony to join the royal family for the Queen’s 90th-birthday celebrations next month, sources tell Royal Watch.
Charlotte, who turned one on May 2, hasn’t been seen in public since her christening last summer, but sources close to William say he is planning to turn the Queen’s birthday parade into an official family outing.
A source said: “The plan is for Charlotte to join Prince George and the Duke and Duchess on the balcony for [the event] ‘Trooping the Colour.’ Of course, it all depends on how she is on the day, but William and Kate agree it would be a lovely thing to do; and William has said that the public will be seeing a bit more of the children as the Queen celebrates her birthday.”
Prince George made his balcony debut at the traditional birthday parade last year. He stole the show when he was photographed in his father’s arms dressed in the very same blue-and-white romper suit William wore when he was a young boy.
George loved the flypast and is said to be looking forward to joining the Queen and the royal family on June 11 for the celebrations.
